The League of Legendary Women is a growing collection celebrating women whose ideas, courage, and work shaped the world.

Inspired by Emily

This project was inspired by my daughter, Emily, and the hope that she will always have powerful examples of women who imagined boldly, persevered courageously, and changed the world.

How the catalog works

Every profile is stored as structured data in the GitHub repository. Updates are reviewed, built into a static site, and published without a database or user accounts.

Install Legendary Women

You can install this website on your device for quick access and an app-like experience.

Windows

  1. Open the site in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
  2. Select the install icon in the address bar, or open the browser menu and choose Install Legendary Women.
  3. Confirm by selecting Install.

Android

  1. Open the site in Google Chrome.
  2. Open the browser menu and select Add to Home screen or Install app.
  3. Confirm by selecting Install.

iPhone

  1. Open the site in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button, then select Add to Home Screen.
  3. Tap Add.

Privacy

Favorites are stored only in your browser using local storage and are never sent to a server.
